The Tobago Heritage festival, first begun in 1987 as a way to capture and preserve the unique cultural traditions of the island of Tobago and has become to Tobago what Carnival is to Trinidad.

TDON commitments and planning for 2022 will include some focusing on the education sector. We’ll be focusing on the diaspora that are making commitments to support schools in Trinidad and Tobagoand we’ll also be identifying a number of underserved rural schools to launch and adopt school programs for more systematic resource flows from the diaspora.
The Trinbago Diaspora Outreach Network along with our travel industry partner, Authentic Trinbago Vacations, will be involved in culinary festivals, as well as cultural and historical re-enactments to help rekindle interest for our international diaspora to re-visit our homeland.
In August 2022 TDON encourages our T&T diaspora worldwide to gather on home soil in the month that marks the 60th Independence Anniversary of Trinidad and Tobago.
