TDON & International Evangelical Ministries Donate to Hope Centre, Couva Children’s Home & Brasso Venado Primary

TDON and the International Evangelical Ministries (South Carolina, USA)

On August 29th this year, we at the Diaspora Organization Network (TDON) were honored to partner with the International Evangelical Ministries (South Carolina, USA) to support children in need as they prepared for the new school year.

Evangelist Leonaire Welch, leader of the Ministries’ outreach activities, reached out to our head, Dr. Andre Phillips, to help identify children and families requiring assistance. Over the course of three months, we worked together to plan and coordinate this initiative, which brought meaningful educational and personal support to children at Hope Centre, Couva Children’s Home, and Brasso Venado Government Primary School.

📚 Impact:
Through this collaboration, over 60 children and their families received essential support, helping to ease the financial burden of back-to-school preparations. Our donations included:

  • ✏️ School supplies: pencils, notebooks, crayons, erasers, coloured pencils, and craft scissors
  • 🧴 Personal care items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, and deodorants

This effort ensured that children were not only prepared for the classroom but also supported in their overall well-being.

💙 We extend our heartfelt thanks to the dedicated International Evangelical Ministries team — Leonaire Welch, Carlos Gilliard, Shontia Gilliard, and Monique Harrison — for their generosity, partnership, and commitment to serving children. We are also grateful to the local institutions and volunteers who joined hands with us to make this drive a success. Together, we are creating brighter futures, one child at a time. ✨
